Quality Construction
BlueMoon takes great pride in the quality of the pieces we create. We print the images for our
products on photographic paper--we DO NOT use ink or toner based printing which is not nearly
as durable. We also use Acrylic to mount the figures on instead of foam core or wood like
many of our competitors do. Acrylic is much more stable, and we think it looks better too!
The six steps illustrated below show the basic steps of producing a cutout from one of your photos.
1Sending Your Image
You take a picture. It turns out fabulous! You send it to BlueMoon
for the special treatment it deserves.

2Making a Photo Print
After basic color inspection & correction, our Digital Photo Printers use lasers to
'write' the picture onto quality Kodak photo printing paper.
|
3Outling the Central Figure
While the picture is printed, an outline of the central figure is created
on the computer.
|
4Adhering to Acrylic
The photo print created in step -2- is mounted on a durable 1/4 inch thick sheet of Acrylic.
|
5Cutting Out the Figure
A computer 'reads' the outline created in step -3- and drives a high powered
laser that cuts out the mounted figure.
|
6Your Treasure is Ready!
After cutting, the figure can be easily attached to it's Plexiglass base
to be enjoyed for many years to come!
